چکیده

According to the level of measurement scale, friction force changes its nature and is determined by different depend-encies. The paper views a procedure for determining molecular component based on evaluation specif-ic shearing resistance links un-der elastic interaction silicon nitride cantilever needle having steel sample, used scanning section sample surface in nanometer range with an atomic microscope (AFM) «FemtoScan» under low loads. A sensitive element (measuring device) acts as sensor measuring both: normal load very roughly, change force, applied known stiffness, including value rod form alteration. It also (to assess mo-lecular route «smoothest» itself was chosen). provides analytical assessment contact parameters nano-scale, rep-resented spheri-cal indenter, half-space study, Hertz theory. Analysis calculation experiment data indenter during showed good convergence results deviation even values from experimental no more than 7,5 %. Calculations using established formulas that increase at nanoscale, coefficient decreases due faster growth spots state (provided angularity inequalities related sub-roughness remains constant), which confirmed course experiment.

Velocity dependent friction laws in contact mode atomic force microscopy.

Friction forces in the tip-sample contact govern the dynamics of contact mode atomic force microscopy. In ambient conditions typical contact radii between tip and sample are in the order of a few nanometers. In order to account for the large interaction area the dynamics of contact mode atomic force microscope (AFM) is investigated under the assumption of a multi-asperity contact interface betw...

Non-contact Friction Force Microscopy Exploiting Lateral Resonance Enhancement

A method for sensing the dissipation occurring when a sharp atomic force microscopy (AFM) tip is oscillated laterally above a surface at distances typical of non-contact mode AFM operation is established and demonstrated. Dissipation is detected by measuring the damping of lateral resonant modes of the AFM cantilever, excited independently after the lateral resonant mode identification, when th...

Modeling and analysis of a three-component piezoelectric force sensor

This paper presents a mathematical model for the vibration analysis of a three-component piezoelectric force sensor. The cubic theory of weakly nonlinear electroelasticity is applied to the model for describing the electromechanical coupling effect in the piezoelectric sensing elements which operate in thickness-shear and thickness-stretch vibration modes. Hamilton's principle is used to derive...

Sliding Friction Contact Stiffness Model of Involute Arc Cylindrical Gear Based on Fractal Theory

Gear’s normal contact stiffness played an important role in the mechanical equipment. In this paper, the M-B fractal model is modified and the contact surface coefficient is put forward to set up the fractal model, considering the influence of friction, which could be used to calculate accurately the involute arc cylindrical gears’ normal contact stiffness based on the fractal theory and Hertz ...
